Endless Tree scarf

This pattern is available in both English and German.

The design combines 3 patterns to create the image of a tree which starts with trailing branches from the edge, followed by straight “leaves on branches”, which turn into brioche ribs towards the centre. The scarf was knitted in two halves, and is joined in the centre. This results in a mirrored pattern with identical ends. The design has no ribbed edging.

This design is knitted in 2-colour brioche but looks equally beautiful with one or two solid colours, or a combination of both.

    • Hayfield “Spirit” double knitting (80% acrylic, 20% wool), hand washable in wool cycle at 40˚C, shade 0410 / Spring and shade 0415 / Autumn; 1 skein = 100 grams / 377 yards / 345 metres, ; or any DK yarn of choice
  • weight and yarn amount:
    • 75 grams / 1 skein per colour
  • needles: 4 mm circular needles (or double pointed needle if preferred)
  • notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle to join both knitted halves

This pattern is available in English in sizes small, medium and large. The design matches the “tree” end pattern in the scarf. Pompom making instructions are included in the pattern. The hat is knitted as a flat piece and edges are joined after completion..
